Below are a list of commonly asked questions.
- Do you shoot weddings?
- Yes, occasionally we do weddings, our package involves 2 cameras, creative editing, a slideshow (your photographer must provide pictures) included on the DVD which is labeled, with two copies.
- What do you charge?
- Do you offer weddings in High Definition?
- Yes, we can shoot it in HD, and provide you with a final product on BluRay. This is a good way of future proofing you’re special day. This package also includes a Standard DVD copy. One camera package is $1900 and two camera package is $2400 (Note: Slideshow not yet available in HD)
- Those prices seems a little steep, don’t you think?
- There are a lot of people who own a camera who “film” weddings. We have serious equipment, professional experience and samples to send you.
- What is your primary camera?
- We have a Sony HVR-Z1U which shoots 1080i. Yet we’ve used a variety of cameras and workflows including the HVX/P2 workflow and Sony PMW-Ex1 with it’s SxS cards. Currently we are researching the market to see if a Red One digital cinema solution has potential in the area.
- What software are you using?
- We edit in Final Cut Pro and utilize bundled apps, including Motion 3. Furthermore, we use Adobe CS3 along with Shake to bring the client’s project to life. For large compression projects we have a variety of options each tailored to specific requests.
- Can you read and write to our NTFS (Win) Drives?
- Yes, we have a enabled our system to read and write these drives to ensure compatibility no matter what platform you are working on.
- We have a lot of files we need encoded/transcoded/compressed, can you handle this?
- Of course! We can convert that vast majority of formats (.mov, .avi, .mp4, .mpg, .flv, .vob, etc…) to other formats. To date our largest batch was roughly 600 files to be converted in 4 days. We discourage clients from using .dvr-ms as these files take an awfully long time to convert almost 9x’s real time playback of the file.
